Evan Williams is releasing a new lineup of officially licensed America250 commemorative bourbon bottles to celebrate the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.
The limited-edition releases, unveiled Monday by Heaven Hill, will begin arriving on shelves in May ahead of the nation’s Semiquincentennial celebration in July 2026.
The collection highlights the historical connection between Evan Williams and the founding of the United States. According to the company, Evan Williams became Kentucky’s first licensed distiller in 1783 — the same year the Revolutionary War formally ended and American independence was recognized.
“Evan Williams has always been intertwined with American history,” Heaven Hill Brands Executive Chairman Max Shapira said in a news release. “As we approach the 250th anniversary of our nation, we are honored to celebrate this historic moment with a collection that reflects the spirit, perseverance, and craftsmanship that define both our country and our bourbon.”
The America250 lineup includes three commemorative expressions:
- Evan Williams Black Label (86 proof) in a 1.75-liter bottle with a suggested retail price of $24.99
- Evan Williams 1783 Small Batch (90 proof) in both 1.75-liter and 750ml formats priced at $37.99 and $23.99 respectively
- Evan Williams Single Barrel, a higher-proof 117.76-proof expression limited to 250 barrels with a suggested retail price of $39.99
The Single Barrel release features hand-dipped blue wax packaging inspired by the Statue of Liberty, and the collection as a whole incorporates patriotic branding and historical storytelling tied to the nation’s founding era.
The release also coincides with an expanded charitable initiative from Evan Williams. The brand announced a new partnership with Folds of Honor and pledged a $75,000 donation to support educational scholarships for families of fallen or disabled service members and first responders.
America250 Executive Vice President Jen Condon said the partnership helps bring the country’s 250th anniversary celebration to consumers nationwide.
The commemorative bottles arrive as bourbon brands increasingly lean into Americana-themed marketing and heritage storytelling ahead of the United States’ Semiquincentennial celebrations next year.
