Pinhook Bourbon’s New Whiskey Is its Rarest Release Ever

Pinhook Bourbon has released the latest expression in its Vertical Series.

On Thursday, Pinhook Bourbon announced the release of its latest whiskey: Vertical Series Bourbon 8-Year. Described as “different from any other sipper in the Pinhoook collection,” this whiskey is Pinhook’s most limited-edition release yet, according to the brand.

The Vertical Series 8-Year Bourbon is blended from 120 barrels and has a suggested retail price of $89.99. It is available to purchase through Pinhook’s website and Breeze, Pinhook’s text-to-buy platform, and at select U.S. retailers.

Bottled at 114.6 proof, Pinhook Vertical Series 8-Year Bourbon is distilled from a mashbill of 75% corn, 20.5% rye and 4.5% malted barley.

About The Pinhook Vertical Series

Pinhook’s Vertical Series follows a collection of 1,350 bourbon and rye barrels, sourced from MGP in Indiana, as they age from four to 12 years. Each year. Pinhook selects a group of barrels from the bunch and blends them. The series began with a 4-year-old release in 2019 and increases by one year in age each year.

Pinhook names its whiskeys for different thoroughbreds in its stables. The Vertical Series Bourbon bottles all feature Bourbon War, who has won races at Belmont Park, Churchill Downs, Gulfstream Park, Keeneland, Pimlico Race Course and Saratoga.

Pinhook ages and blends the Vertical Series casks at Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky.
