Buffalo Trace Distillery announced on Wednesday that it’s taking its whiskey on the road this fall with its first traveling tasting program, Buffalo Trace Distillery On Tour. The free event series will stop in four cities in October: St. Louis, Kansas City, Jacksonville and Tampa.

Each stop will host 10 complimentary tasting sessions across four days. Guests must reserve tickets in advance, with registration opening Sept. 10 at noon ET. Tickets are limited to four per person.

Sessions will run about 90 minutes and feature guided tastings of Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Eagle Rare 10 Year Old, Weller Antique 107 and Sazerac Rye 100 Proof. Attendees will also hear stories about the distillery’s history and the figures who shaped it.

Andrew Duncan, global brand director at Buffalo Trace Distillery, said the tour is designed to reach bourbon fans outside Kentucky. “For the first time, Buffalo Trace Distillery On Tour allows us to meet our fans where they are to share our history, craftsmanship, and award-winning whiskies,” Duncan said.

Ed Bell, Sazerac homeplace director, added that the distillery hopes to replicate the sense of community visitors experience in Frankfort. “There’s something special about sharing a good pour with good company,” Bell said.

In addition to tastings, each stop will offer city-specific barware available for purchase while supplies last.

The scheduled dates and locations are:

  • St. Louis, Mo. — D’Amici Room, Oct. 3-6
  • Kansas City, Mo. — The First Creek Farm, Oct. 9-12
  • Jacksonville, Fla. — The Glass Factory, Oct. 15-18
  • Tampa, Fla. — Armature Works, Oct. 19-22

Based in Frankfort, Buffalo Trace Distillery is a National Historic Landmark and has produced bourbon since 1775. The company has won more than 1,000 awards for its whiskey portfolio.
