First T8ke: Reviewing Incredibly Rare 40-Year-Old Scotch From Port Ellen, a Distillery That’s Been Closed Since 1983

In the latest video on the Whiskey Raiders YouTube channel, spirits critic Jay West, aka t8ke, tastes an incredibly rare scotch whisky.

This 1983 Port Ellen scotch comes from independent bottler Duncan Taylor’s “The Rarest” collection. The spirit was distilled in 1983 — the same year Port Ellen shut down.

A scotch of this age produced by a distillery that has been shuttered for four decades is incredibly rare to come across. Check out the video for Jay’s First T8ke, and keep your eyes peeled for the official review of this expression on our website.
