Drink of the Summer? Cointreau Launches Ready-to-Serve Citrus Spritz Nationwide

On Tuesday, Cointreau announced the nationwide launch of its ready-to-serve spritz cocktail line ahead of summer, rolling out the two-flavor Cointreau Citrus Spritz lineup across the U.S. following a regional debut last year.

The sparkling cocktail range combines Cointreau orange liqueur with French white wine and natural citrus flavors, targeting consumers looking for convenient, pre-made spritz options during peak summer entertaining season.

The 750-milliliter bottled cocktails are available in Orange & Blood Orange and Lemon & Lime flavors.

The line is designed as a pour-over-ice cocktail format aimed at occasions such as rooftop gatherings, brunches, picnics and poolside events.

“Cointreau has always been an essential ingredient in iconic cocktails, and Cointreau Citrus Spritz brings that same quality and flavor to the ready-to-serve space,” Christophe de Pous, president and CEO of Rémy Cointreau Americas, said in a news release.

The launch comes as ready-to-drink and ready-to-serve cocktails continue to expand within the broader beverage alcohol market, particularly in spritz and lower-effort cocktail formats.

As part of the rollout, Cointreau also announced a sponsorship agreement with Belmont Stakes and the Saratoga Race Course for the 2026 racing season.

The cocktails will be served trackside during Belmont Stakes week from June 3-7 and throughout Saratoga’s summer meet running from July through early September. The venue will also feature a dedicated Cointreau Spritz Bar.

The new Citrus Spritz line carries a suggested retail price of $19.99 and is now available at select retailers nationwide.

The release also aligns with Cointreau’s recently introduced “Shake It Up” marketing platform, which positions cocktail-making as a more social and creative experience for younger drinkers.
