Madonna is teaming up with Absolut Vodka to celebrate the release of her upcoming album, Confessions II, marking a new partnership between two brands that have long positioned themselves at the intersection of music, nightlife, and self-expression.

Announced Thursday, Absolut will serve as the official vodka partner for Confessions II, which is scheduled for release on July 3. The collaboration includes a nationwide marketing campaign, themed events, charitable initiatives and a lineup of cocktails built around ABSOLUT x TABASCO, the brand’s chili pepper-flavored vodka.

“Confessions II is rooted in the idea of the dance floor as a ritualistic space where people can express themselves freely and connect with one another,” Madonna said in a news release. “ABSOLUT shares that spirit. Together, we’re creating experiences that encourage people to put down their phones, be present in the moment, and rediscover the joy of connecting through music and dance.”

As part of the campaign, Absolut unveiled “ABSOLUT ICON,” a new creative collaboration inspired by the vodka brand’s historic advertising campaigns and Madonna’s decades-long cultural influence. The campaign features Madonna wearing the purple corset bodysuit she famously wore during her 2006 Grammy Awards performance and in the music video for “Sorry.”

The partnership builds on Absolut’s longstanding support of LGBTQ+ communities. The campaign will appear in LGBTQ+ publications and along Pride parade routes throughout the U.S., and Absolut will make donations to GLAAD as part of the initiative.

The collaboration began earlier this year with “CLUB CONFESSIONS: LOS ANGELES,” a surprise event in West Hollywood where Madonna and producer Stuart Price previewed music from the upcoming album while guests sampled Absolut cocktails.

To coincide with the album rollout, Absolut and Madonna have also developed a series of themed drinks, including the ABSOLUT Madonna, a spicy lemon drop martini; the ABSOLUT Hot Sauce, a spicy Vodkarita-inspired cocktail; the ABSOLUT Confessions Cosmo; and the ABSOLUT Ex-spresso Yourself espresso martini.

“Madonna continuously moves culture forward through fearless self-expression, making this partnership feel both incredibly authentic and deeply meaningful for ABSOLUT,” said Caroline Begley, vice president of marketing at Pernod Ricard USA.

The campaign will continue throughout the summer with additional events, digital content and cocktail-focused activations tied to the release of Confessions II.
