Baker's 13 Year Old Limited Edition Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon made at James B. Beam Distilling Co. using a mashbill of 77% corn, 13% rye and 10% malted barley, aged for at least 13 years in new charred American oak and bottled at 107 proof (53.5% ABV). It is a single barrel expression, meaning each bottle is drawn from one individual cask without batching or mixing. First released in 2019 to mark Baker's transition to an all-single-barrel lineup, it has returned as an annual limited edition since 2023, with a suggested retail price of $149.99 for the most recent batch.

  • 2026’s Baker’s 13 doesn’t reach the same heights as last year’s — which I absolutely adored — but it’s still a strong release and a very good bourbon.

  • Nose:

The nose is decadent and sweet with a good bit of spice. Cookie dough, caramel, cherry, raisin, cinnamon, hazelnut.

  • Taste:

The palate is sweet and moderately viscous, with Demerara, black cherry, cinnamon, clove, orange peel, almonds, sassafras.

  • Finish:

The finish opens with clove-studded orange peel, lemon candies, followed by almonds and graham cracker

  • Overall:

2026’s Baker’s 13 doesn’t reach the same heights as last year’s — which I absolutely adored — or at least, the barrel that I sampled this year doesn't compare to the one I happened to end up with last year. Your mileage will, of course, always vary barrel by barrel with these single-barrel products. At the end of the day, this is still a strong release and a very good bourbon.
