Mark Anthony Brands has agreed to acquire The Finnish Long Drink, adding one of the fastest-growing spirits-based ready-to-drink brands in the U.S. to its portfolio, according to Shanken News Daily.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition is expected to close in the coming weeks.

The Finnish Long Drink, a gin-based sparkling cocktail brand, has seen rapid growth in recent years. The brand, which is co-owned by actor Miles Teller, increased 22% to 3.3 million nine-liter case equivalents in the U.S. last year and has more than tripled in size since 2022, according to Shanken.

Founded in 2018 by Evan Burns alongside Finnish partners Mikael Taipale, Sakari Manninen and Ere Partanen, the brand offers a range of flavors including citrus, cranberry, peach and pineapple, as well as zero-sugar and higher-ABV variants.

The acquisition strengthens Mark Anthony’s position in the fast-growing RTD category, where it already operates leading brands such as White Claw, Mike’s Hard Lemonade and Cayman Jack.

Phil Rosse, CEO of the Mark Anthony Group of Companies, said the deal will expand the company’s footprint in spirits-based RTDs and reinforce its broader category leadership.

Company executives also pointed to distribution scale as a key growth driver. David Barnett, U.S. president of Mark Anthony Brands, said the company sees an opportunity to increase the Long Drink’s reach and visibility in the U.S. market.

The Finnish Long Drink’s leadership echoed that outlook, noting the partnership would help introduce the brand to a wider audience.

Mark Anthony currently ranks among the largest beer and flavored malt beverage marketers in the U.S., with approximately 110 million cases annually, according to Impact Databank. The addition of The Finnish Long Drink further deepens its presence in premium RTDs as competition intensifies across the segment.
