A pop star, a vodka brand and a bottle of hot sauce walk into a bar…

Such was the case this week, when Madonna doubled down on her partnership with Absolut to release a cocktail kit celebrating her upcoming album, the follow-up to her 2005 hit “Confessions on a Dance Floor.”

The neon-pink booze box is now available for pre-order at a suggested retail price of $125. Within, fans will find a bottle of Absolut Tabasco, two 7.5-ounce crystal martini glasses, two Madonna x Absolut coasters, a set of cocktail recipe cards and lemon slice garnishes. The kit also contains a mini cassette player, headphones and a 16-track translucent pink cassette of “Confessions II”, which is slated to release this Friday. Coincidentally, one of the songs on the album — first previewed last week by Absolut — is actually called “Hot Sauce.”

Earlier this month, Absolut was announced as the official vodka partner for Madonna’s latest album. The collaboration kicked off with a marketing campaign, themed events, charitable initiatives and a quartet of cocktails like the Confessions Cosmo and the Ex-presso Yourself espresso martini.

The timing leads neatly into the FIFA World Cup final on July 19, at which Madonna is scheduled to perform alongside fellow international superstars BTS and Shakira.

“Confessions II is rooted in the idea of the dance floor as a ritualistic space where people can express themselves freely and connect with one another,” Madonna said of the partnership when it was first announced. “ABSOLUT shares that spirit. Together, we’re creating experiences that encourage people to put down their phones, be present in the moment, and rediscover the joy of connecting through music and dance.”

Though we can’t vouch for the cocktail kit as a whole, we have more than a few thoughts about the bottle of liquor inside. In February, Absolut joined forces with famed Louisiana hot sauce brand Tabasco to release a spicy, 38%-ABV vodka that hit the market at around $20 a pop. According to the team, the spirit is made without added sugars, instead relying on a natural essence derived from fermented, aged red pepper mash.

Reviewing the product at launch, we found plenty to like in the admittedly silly premise. If you’re interested in learning more, find our full review of Absolut Tabasco here.
