Tattersall Distilling is Opening a Destination Distillery in River Falls this Fall

River Falls, Wisconsin, will be welcoming a new destination distillery this fall when Tattersall Distilling opens up its second location.

Tattersall Distillery, which first debuted in Minnesota in 2015, will be expanding its production to the 75,000 sq ft location, according to Bevnet. The distillery will feature a retail store, full-service restaurant and bar, Enlarged barrel room, providing a unique and intimate experience for events, tours and tastings. There will also be a massive outdoor area with a large amphitheater for outdoor wedding ceremonies, festivals, concerts, and markets.

In 2019, Tattersall was coming close to reaching the cap for liquor production for microdistilleries in Minnesota. They then decided to expand in their neighboring state of Wisconsin, where they finally landed on River Falls as it was close by and offered more freedom with production.

Their Minneapolis location will reopen in June 2021, after being closed due to Covid. Tattersall will expand the seating to accommodate social distancing regulations. According to Bevnet, “A small amount of production will remain in Northeast to supply the cocktail room.”

In Tattersalls five years of business, the distillery has grown its portfolio to over 30 spirits, including Minnesota’s first bottled-in-bond Wheated Bourbon. They also gained national recognition with honors such as the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and American Craft Spirits Association Awards.

It’s exciting to see the expansion progress. After being honored in the Inc. 5,000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America, it doesn’t look like Tattersall is slowing down any time soon.
