Whiskey Raiders’ Gold Rush Cocktail Recipe

The Gold Rush cocktail is a really simple cocktail, with only three ingredients: Whiskey, honey (or honey syrup if you can get your hands on it or make it), and lemon. It is really similar to the whiskey sour, and with ingredients that people typically have on hand, it’s an easy one to make in a pinch.

Make Your Own Honey Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup honey

Honey simple syrup is easy and quick to whip up. Just take one cup of honey and one cup of water, stir together in a saucepan until the honey is completely dissolved in the water, and store in the refrigerator. The honey to water is a one-to-one ratio, so you can make as big a batch as you need. (i.e. four cups of honey to four cups of water).

How to Make a Gold Rush Cocktail

  • 2 oz of whiskey
  • 1.5 oz of honey/honey syrup
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • Optional Lemon wedge for garnishing
