A serial thief in Newcastle, U.K, has broken a 12-month community order by taking off with a bottle of supermarket gin, reported Chroniclelive.

The 35-year-old, Cheryleigh Root, was previously convicted of carrying a knife and shoplifting in June. According to Chroniclelive, taking the gin counted as her 60th offence — and 32nd theft conviction — on her record.

On Nov. 14, Root entered a supermarket called Iceland, grabbed the bottle of gin and walked out without paying, per the report. Root was later fined £120 ($146.10) after being arrested.

Root did not show up at court and apparently informed her solicitor to “plead guilty on her behalf,” reported Chroniclelive.

“The defendant has 59 offences on her record,” said Claire Armstrong, prosecuting, per the report. “Her last conviction was in June this year. She has 31 theft offences on her record, 27 of which are for shoplifting. She also has a conviction from June for shoplifting and she was given a 12-month community order.”

“She’s got issues. She’s living in a hostel and accesses local services for drugs and alcohol,” said Michael Crowe, defending, according to Chroniclelive.
