Pop superstar Becky G is once again joining forces with Patrón Tequila, this time for a limited-edition release spotlighting the importance of water systems in communities throughout Mexico.

On Wednesday, the duo unveiled Our Rainwater Project Patrón Silver, a pair of tequilas that reimagine the brand’s flagship blanco with a personalized twist. The cheaper of the two options, rolling out now at a suggested price of $42.99, comes inside a collectible tin featuring rippling shades of turquoise and emerald. The liquid inside the bottle is the same as ever, which aligns with the fact that the tequila costs almost exactly the same as a standard 750-milliliter Patrón in most markets.

The brand is also selling a limited run of 350 bottles custom-designed by Becky G herself. Each features light blue accents, a rounded glass cork and a wearable scarf. Pre-orders are slated to open on the Patrón website beginning July 24 at $60 each.

“Jalisco has shaped both Patrón and me,” Becky G said in a news release. “It’s where Patrón is made and where all four of my abuelitos are from. Working with Patrón on Our Rainwater Project Limited-Edition Patrón Silver gave us an opportunity to celebrate that connection, while helping shine a light on something incredibly important.”

The collection revolves around a giveback initiative providing water access to households in Patrón’s home state of Jalisco. The brand has announced that it is funding the installation of 200 rainwater harvesting systems alongside Isla Urbana, a non-profit dedicated to connecting donors, partners and water advocates north and south of the border. To that end, the harvesting systems will collect and store rainwater to be used for washing, bathing, cleaning and watering plants in homes across the western Mexican state.

Since its founding in 2009, Isla Urbana has installed nearly 45,000 water systems in the United States and Mexico, and reportedly harvests 6.6 billion liters of rainwater per year. According to the organization, roughly 57% of Mexico still does not have access to a reliable, safely managed water source.

“To have partners like Patrón and Becky G stand alongside us means so much — they’re using their voices and their platforms to bring attention to a cause that matters deeply and helping even more households across Jalisco gain access to reliable water,” Jennifer White, Co-Founder and General Director of Isla Urbana, added.
