Chapter 10 is named “All the Wiser,” marking a milestone in the evolving whiskey series created by eighth-generation Beam Master Distiller Freddie Noe.
The latest annual release continues the limited-edition line that has, since its inception, served as Noe’s experimental blending platform within the Beam portfolio. The series pays tribute to his grandfather, Booker Noe, while showcasing a modern approach to American whiskey blending.
Little Book was first introduced as a personal project from Freddie Noe, who has used each chapter to explore different combinations of aged whiskeys drawn from across the Beam family of brands.
Chapter 10 is framed as a turning point in that evolution. Rather than focusing on technical precision or fixed blending targets, Noe said this release reflects a more instinct-driven approach.
After years of refining blends through structured experimentation, Noe described the process behind “All the Wiser” as more responsive to the whiskey itself, allowing the final profile to emerge through adjustment and intuition rather than rigid formulation.
Breaking Down the Blend
The blend incorporates a variety of aged bourbons from different labels in the broader Beam portfolio — an interesting decision that varies from the usual blend breakdown, which traditionally is simply listed as bourbon or rye whiskeys of different ages. It even includes a Jim Beam with a double finish.
Here are all of the components in the Little Book Chapter 10 “All The Wiser” blend:
- 14-year-old Basil Hayden bourbon
- 11-year-old Knob Creek bourbon
- 10-year-old Booker’s bourbon
- 9-year-old Baker’s Bourbon
- 4-year-old Jim Beam bourbon finished in sherry and toasted bourbon casks
Bottled at 122.6 proof (61.3% ABV), the finished product carries a suggested retail price of $159.99.
Official tasting notes describe aromas of fig, raisin, and molasses, with a palate of caramel, cinnamon, and oak, finishing with extended notes of seasoned wood and dried fruit.
The Little Book series remains one of Beam’s highest-end, most experimental whiskey lines, always uncut and unfiltered, designed to explore blending across different ages and styles within the distillery’s inventory.
Chapter 10 continues that approach while signaling what Beam describes as a more mature phase of Noe’s blending philosophy.
