Lil Yachty Is Back With Another Tequila Cocktail Launch — And This Time, It’s Tropical

Rapper and podcaster Lil Yachty is expanding his collection of canned cocktails with the debut of Piña Yacht Water. It’s now available on shelves alongside a who’s who of celebrity-backed competitors, including pre-mixed drinks from the likes of Blake Lively, Canelo Álvarez, Jennifer Lopez and Kylie Jenner.

The fourth flavor from Yacht Water combines lightly aged reposado tequila (Pedro Furtivo, to be exact), real key lime juice, sparkling water and sea salt, infused with its headline addition of fresh pineapple. Each 12-ounce can clocks in at 105 calories and, according to the team, contains no artificial flavors, preservatives or unnecessary processing.

The venture hit the ground running in early 2025, when it was unveiled in collaboration with Quality Control Music founder Kevin “Coach K” Lee — oft-regarded as Yachty’s mentor — and liquor industry veterans Rachel and Peter Kiley, the founders of Atlanta-based Sneaky Spirits.

“We build drinks that put the consumer first, no additives, no BS,” Coach K remarked in a news release. “Piña does just that: bold pineapple balanced with our signature tequila and sparkling water. It’s next-level refreshment.”

We had a chance to taste the original Yacht Water lineup at launch and were pleasantly impressed with its twist on the genre. Though its trio of flavors (Key Lime, Jalapeno and the orange-tinged Sunrise) doesn’t sound that dissimilar from its contemporaries, they all pack a surprisingly salty punch that immediately distinguishes them from the crowd.

The Key Lime flavor riffs on the Texas-favorite Ranch Water cocktail, combining the mineral bite of Topo Chico with fresh citrus and a festive vibe that reminded us of a salted margarita rim. The Sunrise delivered its orange in hints, not gobs, while the Jalapeno — our personal favorite of the bunch — served up one of the freshest renditions of spicy pepper we’ve ever tasted in a canned format. It’s odd that Yachty keeps insisting that he doesn’t much like alcohol, because his cocktail lineup feels like it was designed for niche tequila enthusiasts through and through.
