In a recent incident aboard a Ryanair flight originating from Manchester and bound for Dublin, a reportedly intoxicated passenger created an uncomfortable scene, sparking significant delays and stress among fellow travelers, according to Daily Mail. The event transpired as the individual, allegedly seen drinking from a one-liter bottle of Jägermeister he purchased from duty-free prior to boarding, became increasingly disruptive.

Onlookers observed the passenger aggressively clashing with cabin crew members, while fellow travelers implored him to remain seated. Efforts by one female crew member to subdue the unruly passenger were met with resistance, ultimately culminating in the disruption of the flight schedule. Originally slated for takeoff at 10:40 p.m., the flight eventually departed at the strikingly late hour of 3:29 a.m. the following day, necessitating a five-hour delay.

Witnessing the distressing spectacle, one 37-year-old woman from Stockport, who preferred to remain anonymous, told Daily Mail that the passenger was both “swearing” and “being violent” during the flight’s lengthy delay.

“We got onto the plane and then this young chap had been drinking, I think because it had been delayed he went to duty-free and got himself a litre bottle of Jägermeister and he was drinking that before he got on the plane,” she added.

“He was just kicking off on the plane and so we then remained on the tarmac for God knows what time.”

Daily Mail noted that the incident was eventually brought under control, and the disruptive passenger was apprehended and escorted off the aircraft by law enforcement personnel upon landing in Dublin. Greater Manchester Police subsequently reported the man’s arrest on suspicion of being drunk on board an aircraft.

“A 27 year old man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk on board an aircraft,” the authorities said, per Daily Mail. “He remains in police custody for questioning.”
