Released in June 2025, ROW 94 Broken Branches is the second release from country music star Dierks Bentley's whiskey brand, ROW 94. It was timed alongside Dierks' latest album and tour, also named Broken Branches. A release limited to just 1,500 bottles, Broken Branches is bottled at 100 proof and aged five years. As is the usual with ROW 94, the liquid is sourced from Green River in Owensboro, Kentucky. The mashbill is 70% corn, 21% rye and 9% malted barley.

The bourbon underwent a finishing technique that the brand is calling “Branch Aging" — a way to use market-speak to tie in the use of staves to the title of the album. Toasted oak staves seasoned for up to two years were placed in the barrels for seven to nine days to "deepen the whiskey’s complexity," according to the brand. ROW 94 Broken Branches has a suggested retail price of $99.99 per 750-milliliter bottle. It is available via the ROW 94 website.

  • Nose:

Pleasant nose full of honey, strawberry, pecan roll, graham cracker and clove.

  • Taste:

Salted caramel, fig, grape jam, tobacco, clove and cinnamon, and a light minerality.

  • Finish:

    Blackberry jam, tobacco, saline.

  • Overall:

A distinctive, jammy bourbon loaded with dark fruit notes. Tasty and memorable, although priced rather high at $100. I continue to enjoy this brand — it's not the most groundbreaking stuff, but Green River is a great choice of partner distillery, and I appreciate the way ROW 94 wears its source on its sleeve (or label, rather), as opposed to leaving us guessing where the liquid was made.
