  • The palate is similarly reminiscent, boasting early, dark notes of toasty chocolate malt, sweet barbecue burnt ends, and dark roast coffee beans.

  • This starts off reminding me of a sweet honey brushed pastry. Moves into a mid palate of black tea, cinnamon, and malted chocolate. On the finish I get notes of caramel, black pepper, dry oak, and a little acidity.

  • Oak, herbal notes, caramel, coffee, roasted nuts, char, cocoa, baking spice. Much more expressive than the aroma with an “edible espresso beans” quality.

  • A really nice release from Rabbit Hole! This is light, bright and easy-drinking, with just enough complexity to make it an interesting pour. Great summer whiskey!

  • Nose:

The nose is bright and citrus-forward: big orange sherbet note pairs with salted caramel, toffee and gingerbread.

  • Taste:

Moderate viscosity. The palate is well balanced and very tasty. Bright tangerine and grapefruit are the dominant notes, backed by cinnamon, nougat, molasses, a pop of bubblegum and a touch of bitter tannin.

  • Finish:

The finish opens with a kick of cinnamon, which leads into a big Milk Duds profile of chocolate and caramel, plus macadamia and a faint touch of fresh mint leaves.

  • Overall:

A really nice release from Rabbit Hole! This is light, bright and easy-drinking, with just enough complexity to make it an interesting pour. Great summer whiskey!
