Produced at the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, Kentucky, and bottled by A. Overholt & Co., it is made from a mash bill containing at least 51% rye, aged four years in new charred oak barrels, and bottled non-chill filtered at 86 proof (43% ABV). • A decent young rye. It’s nothing special, but you’re buying it for the bottle more than the whiskey — and the bottle is fun!

  • Nose:

Grain-forward nose. Cereal grains, Raisin Bran, cinnamon.

  • Taste:

Thin to moderate mouthfeel. Punch of spice — mostly cinnamon and nutmeg with just a touch of dill — plus brown sugar and tapioca.

  • Finish:

Quick but pleasant finish of gingerbread and cinnamon.

  • Overall:

A decent young rye. It’s nothing special, but you’re buying it for the bottle more than the whiskey — and the bottle is fun!
