Miller Lite Taps Gymnast Livvy Dunne For Limited-Edition Tea Set — Because Why Not?

Miller Lite beer is joining forces with athlete and influencer Livvy Dunne, encouraging fans to “spill the tea” by way of a teapot with a built-in beer-puncturing mechanism. Needless to say, it’s been a while since we’ve reported on a combination of words quite as unlikely to be found in the same sentence.

On Tuesday, the Milwaukee-based brewer kicked off its “Legendary Moments With Livvy” campaign, harnessing the social media star’s over 13 million followers to spread the word about authentic connections. According to the brand, the partnership is all about “logging off, showing up and making real-life moments worth reliving.”

“Some of my favorite memories come from just saying ‘yes’ to going out with friends, but the best part is always talking about it the day after,” Dunne remarked in a news release. “That’s when the real tea comes out. For me and my friends, Miller Time brings us together and, now, Miller Tea Time is all about the debrief.”

The centerpiece of the campaign is a Miller Tea Time set that looks like it was ripped straight from the uncanny valley. The set features a custom-designed tea kettle that fits a 12-ounce can of beer inside the top, which can then be punctured and poured from the spout for a gag-worthy tea-meets-tipple moment. Also included in the set are four silver saucers and four tea cups shaped in the likeness of a Miller Lite beer can.

The bundle went on sale this morning and sold out within a matter of hours. A second and final drop is planned from 11 am ET on April 28th, at a suggested price of $75. The kit does not contain any beer, so if you’re interested in picking one up, be warned that you’ll have to bring your own booze.

Miller Lite says that the kit is the beginning of a summer-long partnership with Dunne, who is set to make appearances at major cultural moments and festivals in collaboration with the brand over the next few months.

“For more than 50 years, Miller Lite has championed the idea that the best moments start when you show up,” Courtney Benedict, VP of Marketing at Molson Coors Beverage Company, added. “Livvy is a natural extension of that belief, and together we’re inspiring fans to embrace the moments and connections that turn into legendary stories.”
