Sleeper Whiskey Brand 15 Stars Brings Back ‘Fan-Favorite’ Triple Cask Bourbon, Expands Distribution

15 Stars

15 STARS announced on Thursday the return of its Triple Cask Fine-Aged Bourbon, a blend of 16- and 8-year-old bourbons finished in a trifecta of cognac, rum and apple brandy casks. The brand additionally announced that it’s partnering with Republic National Distributing Company to expand its foothold in the U.S.

“We are excited to bring back this fan-favorite expression for a second time,” 15 Stars co-founder Ricky Johnson said in a statement. “Not only is Triple Cask II for our long-standing community in Kentucky and beyond, but we look forward to providing whiskey enthusiasts across the country the opportunity to sip on 15 STARS through this strategic partnership with RNDC.”

The brand shared that the 103-proof bourbon will be available at specialized retailers across the country and from its website for the price of $179.

As part of its new partnership with RNDC, 15 Stars will be distributed in 15 states: Alabama, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming. The brand shared that the distribution will take place throughout 2025.

“Having been in the spirits business for over 30 years, I have seen how strategic partnerships like this one between 15 STARS and RNDC help elevate a brand,” 15 STARS Vice President of Sales Eric Timmerman said in a statement. “We are proud to be able to share the tradition of Kentucky craftsmanship in distilling and blending with just about everyone east of the Rockies now.”

15 STARS has been growing at a steady clip this year, and in March the upstart brand released a bourbon and rye.  The bourbon was a blend of 8- and 15-year-old bourbons and the rye was the second batch of 15 Stars’ First West Rye Whiskey.

15 STARS continues to knock it out of the park with incredible releases, and the brand was featured twice on our Best Whiskeys We Tasted in June 2024 list. If you want to see which whiskeys cut, you can read June’s monthly roundup here.
