Pringles and Miller Lite Double Down on Divisive Collab With ‘Beer Cheese Burger’ Flavor

Pringles and Miller Lite are once again joining forces — this time, with a duo of potato crisp flavors sure to ignite debate around the barbecue.

On Monday, the brands announced the debut of Pringles x Miller Lite Beer Cheese Burger, a limited-edition crisp said to combine the “sharp and tangy” flavors of beer cheese with the refreshing bite of a light beer. It’ll roll onto shelves throughout June alongside a returning flavor from last year’s collaboration, Pringles x Miller Lite Beer-Braised Steak (which, according to the brand, contains notes of “savory umami and mild black pepper” balanced by a “hop-forward, malted character”).

Alas, not every crisp was quite as lucky. Not returning from last year’s collaboration are the brands’ Grilled Beer Brat or Beer Can Chicken flavors, the latter of which became a minor meme in online snack circles when it was first announced.

“Fans love to pair Miller Lite with their summertime staples, so bringing it all together into one snack with Pringles again this year is pretty special,” Courtney Benedict, VP of Marketing at the Miller Family of Brands.

“The new Beer Cheese Burger flavor and the returning, fan-favorite Beer-Braised Steak take BBQ standouts and amplify them with the crisp, clean taste of the perfect complement – Miller Lite. The only thing better? Washing them down with a cold serving of the Original Light Beer itself.”

Brand collaborations are all the rage these days, and few pairings are quite as popular as that between brewers and snack makers. In April, Pabst Blue Ribbon joined forces with Smithfield for a line of grill-ready, beer-infused sausages. A week later, the brand unveiled a limited-edition Pickle Beer brewed in collaboration with Grillo’s Pickles. We’d be remiss if we didn’t also mention Cheez-It’s recent collaboration with Coors Light — a beer cheese-flavored snack cracker that checks a whole lot of the same boxes as Pringles’ latest release.
