The Beverage Industry reported on Oct. 10 that the McBride Sisters, known for their Black Girl Magic and She Can wines, are launching a partnership with Colgate to help keep smiles bright during red wine season.
“As business owners and wine lovers ourselves, we understand how confidence and a matching bright smile are essential to living life to its fullest,” McBride Sisters Collection CEO and co-founder Andréa McBride John said in a news release. “That’s why teaming up with Colgate Optic White was a perfect partnership — because we both believe in empowering people to enjoy life. We’re excited to present this limited edition set, which perfectly combines the best of both worlds: a gorgeous red blend and a brilliant smile.”
The limited-release McBride Sisters Collection x Colgate Optic White set includes a bottle of the McBride Sisters Collection Red Blend Central Coast 2020, two next generation Colgate Optic White Overnight teeth whitening pens and a compact mirror.
The limited-release set hosts a suggested retail price of $49.99 and is available at McBrideSisters.com.
Colgate expressed in the news release that the Overnight Whitening Pen’s principal ingredient is hydrogen peroxide, and it yields whiter teeth in one week if used according to the instructions.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the McBride Sisters Collection because we both understand how important a bright smile is to helping people feel great about themselves and show up with confidence,” Colgate-Palmolive North America Senior Vice President and General Manager of Consumer Experience and Growth Diana Haussling said. “And this collaboration is all about that — embracing life, enjoying a glass of wine and knowing brighter smiles are ahead.”
About the McBride Sisters
The story of the McBride Sisters is like something out of a film. The two sisters were raised across the globe from one another in two separate countries, believing they were only children until they were united by wine.
Andréa was raised in Awatere Valley in Marlborough, New Zealand and Robin was raised in Monterrey, California. They met in 1999 at the LaGuardia airport in New York and began their journey as small wine importers in 2005.
The sisters launched their first wine in 2010, eco.love Wines, and they were the first Black Women Sister group to create a wine company in the United States featuring carbon-zero wines. The grapes were grown in a vineyard near where Andrea grew up in New Zealand. The McBride Sisters’ second wine was a California wine made from grapes grown in a vineyard near where Robin grew up.
The sisters continued to build their wine empire, culminating in the 2018 launch of Black Girl Magic Wines 2018. The brand shares the McBride Sisters Wine Company is the largest Black-owned, all-women-founded wine business in America.
