Hampton Water, a rosé brand co-owned by rock-n-roller Jon Bon Jovi, his son Jesse Bongiovi and French winemaker Gérard Bertrand, is bringing a bit of sparkle to its portfolio with a bubbly rosé. Hampton Water Bubbly hosts a suggested retail price of $29.99 for a 750 ml bottle.

“We’re thrilled to introduce Hampton Water Bubbly,” Co-Founder Jon Bon Jovi said in a statement. “Sparkling wine has long been reserved only for special occasions, but Hampton Water Bubbly is here to change that. Ever since consumers caught on to our still rosé, we’ve been asked about releasing a sparkling version. We believe that rosé should be fun and easy to enjoy and we’re bringing that same sentiment as we enter the sparkling rosé category by introducing a wine that’s less about exclusivity and more about enjoyment. I look forward to sharing this incredible new blend with friends and family for many years to come.”

The blend is composed of 47% Pinot Noir, 30% Grenache and 23% Chardonnay. Hampton Water shares it hosts less than 5 grams of residual sugar per liter, making it a bit on the drier side.

The brand explained Hampton Water Bubbly features a nose that’s a heady combination of citrus, red fruit and florals. The palate boasts a well-balanced crispness, with fine bubbles.

Gérard Bertrand is a former rugby player-turned-winemaker. He boasts 13 properties within the Languedoc Roussillon Appellation, which include Château de Villemajou, Domaine de Cigalus, Domaine du Temple and others. Some of the wines within the Gérard Bertrand portfolio include Cote de Roses, Rouge Clair and Arte de Vivre.

As far as celebrity wine brands go, Bon Jovi’s Hampton Water had a solid start after its 2019 launch. In 2022, the brand achieved a Vivino Score of 4/5 stars and was highly ranked by Bottle Raiders in terms of celebrity wines.

Rosé is extremely popular and many wine professionals would claim it’s an oversaturated category.

From Brad Pitt’s Miraval to Post Malone’s Rosé, it seems like celebrities are rushing to get in on the pink trend. In June, the news that Meghan Markle might be getting into the pink wine game with her American Riviera Orchard lifestyle brand made headlines, signaling that yet another celebrity rosé launch.

In short, the competition is fierce. Yet it appears Bon Jovi’s brand can hang. The rocker’s son, Jesse Bongiovi, seems to think so:

“With our still rosé up 28% in the last 12 months — double-digits ahead of the Premium Rosé category — we wanted to expand on this growth and give consumers what they were asking for,” Co-Founder Jesse Bongiovi said in a statement. “We saw a real opportunity to shape up the intimidation factor around sparkling wine with the belief that it doesn’t have to be reserved for toasting those rare moments; it can be enjoyed every day on any occasion. Even if that occasion is just toasting the start of a new week!”
