Jack Daniel’s latest whiskey debuts with active military and veterans in mind.

On Monday, Jack Daniel’s announced the release of its 2024 Heroes Selection Single Barrel Barrel Proof Tennessee Rye Whiskey.

Selected by U.S. Navy Veteran and Jack Daniel’s SVP General Manager Melvin Keebler, the 2024 Heroes Selection edition is intended to honor veterans and active military, according to Jack Daniel’s.

“Community, camaraderie and the importance of mission are the core principles that I feel my military service shares with my work today at the Jack Daniel Distillery,” Keebler said in a news release. “It is my privilege to select this whiskey in honor of the men and women who continue to serve and protect our freedom.”

Jack Daniel’s Heroes Selection Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye is available in 750-milliliter bottles for a suggested retail price of $69.99 in select military retail locations. Each bottle will be sold in an exclusive gift box with collectible medallions.

Jack Daniel’s Heroes Selection Barrel Proof Rye is distilled from a mashbill of 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley and bottled at proof points between 125 and 140.

Jack Daniel’s claims that since 2011, its Operation Ride Home campaign in partnership with the Armed Services YMCA has raised nearly $3 million to cover costs for junior-enlisted service members and their family members to travel home for the holidays.

In July, Jack Daniel’s released the latest whiskey in its Distillery Series, a twice-barreled rye whiskey.

In February, the popular Tennessee whiskey brand released the latest batches of its 10- and 12-year-old whiskeys. You can read our reviews of those here (10 Year) and here (12 Year).
