Charlie Day Appears in Ad for Four Walls Whiskey, a Brand Founded by ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Stars

Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney post for Four Walls Whiskey
On Wednesday, Four Walls Whiskey, a brand founded by the three stars of “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton announced its latest spot in its “Come on In!” campaign. The campaign stars the actor Charlie Day and was released just as Dry January ended to encourage “everyone to get back out there and wet their whistles,” according to the brand.
“Day Drinking” stars Day and features the actor having a drink at a bar, discussing the pleasures of day drinking and enjoying a glass of Four Walls Irish whiskey, regardless of what time it is.
“Fresh air and vitamin D are a wonderful thing. Don’t get me wrong, I love vitamin D, but you don’t want too much of a good thing,” Day said in the ad. “Like this glass of Four Walls, for example. It’s a good thing, but you don’t want too much. But you do want to drink it during the day sometimes.”
The latest ad spot follows a December commercial that featured Howerton raising a glass to bartenders everywhere on National Bartender’s Day.
On Oct. 3, Four Walls announced the release of its newest expression: Four Walls Irish American Whiskey. The 80-proof offering is a blend of grain and malt Irish whiskeys with the addition of American rye whiskey.
About Four Walls Whiskey
Four Walls was brought to market in June 2022. The actors say the profits from the brand’s whiskey sales go to the hospitality industry in Pennsylvania, specifically, the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association’s Hospitality Assistance Response of Pennsylvania.
The brand was intended to celebrate the four walls of a bar, which have “held our favorite memories in and kept our troubles out,” according to Howerton.
Four Walls has since expanded distribution into over 40 states. It has launched in bars and retail stores across Pennsylvania, New York, California and Florida as of October.
