Bulleit Frontier Whiskey announced the launch of a Bottled-In-Bond bourbon on Tuesday. The brand shared that the bourbon was distilled in spring 2017 at Bulleit’s Shelbyville, Kentucky facility. It will be available throughout the United States and has a suggested retail price of $54.99 for a 750-milliliter bottle.

“The past year has been a defining one for Bulleit, and the release of our first Bottled-In-Bond bourbon adds a meaningful new chapter to our story,” Diageo Senior Vice President of North American Whiskey Jesse Damashek said in a news release. “Bulleit Bottled-In-Bond is more than a celebration of craftsmanship, it’s a testament to our commitment to innovation and to showcasing the exceptional quality of whiskey crafted at our distillery in Shelbyville.”

Per Bottled-in-Bond regulations, this bourbon clocks in at 100 proof after being aged in federally bonded warehouses and distilled by a single distiller during one distilling season.

Bulleit has been dropping some exciting releases as of late. In February 2024, the brand ventured into the red-hot American Single Malt category. The 90-proof whiskey sold for $59.99, and Bulleit shared it possessed a vanilla-laden nose, coupled with a bold and fruity palate that segued into a cocoa-driven finish.

As for the Diageo-owned brand’s latest release, Bulleit describes the bottled-in-bond bourbon as having a layered sipping experience. The brand encourages prospective drinkers to picture a melange of spices and toasted oak on the nose, complete with a pour full of maple and nutmeg. The finish is said to be smooth, with drizzles of butterscotch.

“Introducing our first Bottled-in-Bond bourbon, made entirely at the Bulleit Distilling Company is a proud achievement for our team,” Diageo Lead Whiskey Blender Delicia James said. “With our signature high-rye mashbill and seven years of aging under Bottled-in-Bond standards, this bourbon delivers a richness and complexity we’re excited to share. It’s a whiskey that truly showcases the best of what we do here in Shelbyville — bold, balanced and crafted with care.”
