‘No Bad Hombres to Be Found in This Bottle’: Bourbon Mocking Donald Trump Unveiled

Big Lie Bourbon

After launching The Big Lie scotch whisky to poke fun at Boris Johnson, Caskshare has set its sights on Donald Trump with The Big Lie Bourbon.

In July, online spirits retailer Caskshare released a scotch whisky bottling called “The Big Lie,” which poked fun at disgraced British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

On Friday, Caskshare unveiled the second whiskey in its “The Big Lie” series, a U.S. edition that the retailer says was “inspired by one of the most infamous political leaders of the last decade”: Donald Trump.

The bourbon’s description is loaded with digs at the former president. Enjoy:

“This bottle aims to make whiskey ‘Great Again’ and is in the ‘Big League,'” Caskshare wrote in a news release. “On first inspection it has a straw colour and there’s the whiff of ‘covfefe’, echoing summer nights by the Mexican border on the nose, followed by the gentle aroma of burgers and fries in the Oval Office. The Devil’s cut here is tremendous but there are no bad hombres to be found in this bottle. Positioned as a commemoration bottle, perfect for those looking for a strong drink after recently being fired or let go from their jobs. Customers can pre-order exclusively on Caskshare.com to ensure they receive a bottle in time for Donald’s re-emergence in the political sphere.”

Caskshare is using “The Big Lie” series to draw a parallel between the secrets kept by shady politicians and the information and details about whiskeys that many brands don’t share with consumers, such as information about the liquids themselves or the casks they were aged in. Here’s what Caskshare is willing to tell us about The Big Lie Bourbon:

The Big Lie Bourbon Information

Location: Maybe Nambia
ABV: (Cask Strength) 47.5%
Cask Type: The Fake Yews
Age: Young & Vibrant
Bottle Number: Number 1 of course
Master Distiller: Donald
Approved by: Bye Don

As with the Boris Johnson whisky, whose bottle claimed it was “Umpteen Years” old and hailed from “Maybe Up North Maybe Down South,” the only information we take seriously is the ABV. The rest is pretty hilarious, though.

In November, Trump opened a wine and whiskey bar dedicated to himself. Its menu features a $45 cocktail called the “Forty-Five,” which is accompanied by Diet Coke, reportedly one of Trump’s favorite drinks, and a side of beef sliders.
