On Monday, independent American whiskey bottler Lost Lantern announced that its Winter Whiskey Wednesday collection will release Nov. 29. The collection comprises four whiskeys and will be Lost Lantern’s last release of 2023.

“In Vermont, winter’s embrace can be especially long and cold,” Lost Lantern co-founder Nora Ganley-Roper said in a news release. “We hope the whiskies in this collection, designed specifically for the season, will bring some extra warmth and joy to all whiskey lovers during the chilly months ahead.”

This latest release follows Lost Lantern’s Fall 2023 Collection, which was unveiled in September. The collection hosted offerings from indie whiskey brands like New Riff and Balcones.

Lost Lantern’s Winter 2023 collection hosts offerings from seven distillery partners: Cedar Ridge, McCarthy’s, Boulder Spirits, Whiskey Del Bac, Santa Fe Spirits, St. George Spirits and Kings County Distillery.

“We are especially excited about the whiskies in our new collection because they were created purposely to warm up winter,” co-founder Adam Polonsky said. “Two are blends of smoked American single malts — one peated (Shadow), one mesquite (Flame) — and are perfect for long, cold winter nights, especially those in front of a fireplace or bonfire. Winter is also our favorite season for baking, and Brooklyn Bakery, our first release from the acclaimed Kings County Distillery, is an ideal pairing for wintry confections. Winter also has us thinking about warmer days ahead, and our latest collaboration with St. George Spirits is truly the essence of California sunshine. After a cold, grey day, this reminds us that sunny days are always around the corner.”
