Jack Daniel’s announced on Wednesday the latest release stemming from its partnership with McLaren Racing, a limited-edition bottle meant to honor the latest Formula 1 racing season.
The whiskey will be available in 1-liter bottles in select markets in the U.S., and 1-liter and 700-milliliter bottles in F1 racing cities across the globe.
The bespoke label features bright orange coloring and the Old No. 7 logo. As for the juice inside, it’s made with Jack Daniel’s signature mashbill: 80% corn, 8% rye and 12% malted barley. As all Jack Daniel’s whiskeys, it is mellowed through 10 feet of charcoal and matured in new American white oak.
“The launch of last year’s bottle was a huge success, and it is great that we continue to launch unique and exciting activations for our fans globally,” McLaren Racing Executive Director of Partnerships & Accelerator Matt Dennington said in a news release.
In 2022, Jack Daniel’s and McLaren joined forces in the multi-year partnership. The brands launched a limited-edition, co-branded bottle in April which honored the founders of both brands: Jasper “Jack” Daniel and Bruce McLaren. The partnership continued in August with a pop-up exhibit that featured a McLaren replica racing car, which was on display at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Visitors were able to sample the limited-release whiskey while engaging with the “visually stunning” display.
“We’re proud to celebrate the continued partnership between McLaren and Jack Daniel’s, two brands known for representing a spirit of boldness and authenticity,” Jack Daniel’s Global Brand Director Jamie Butler said. “Together, we’ve created unmatched fan experiences around F1 races and are looking to build upon that success and accelerate in the new race season.”
