Jack Daniel’s announced on Monday that the Lynchburg, Tennessee distillery is rolling out a 3-liter bottle of its signature Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey in the U.S. this holiday season. It’s the first time the format has been available domestically since Prohibition.

The new size will be a permanent addition to the lineup, joining smaller bottles ranging from 50 milliliters to 1.75 liters. Each 3-liter bottle will carry a suggested retail price of $79.99 and be available nationwide beginning this month.

“Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey has been at the heart of everything we make at the Jack Daniel Distillery since the days of Mr. Jack himself,” Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller Chris Fletcher said in a news release. “We hope this bold new take will help create timeless holiday memories that last long after the bottle is gone.”

Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 is made from a mashbill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye. The whiskey is charcoal mellowed through 10 feet of sugar maple and aged in new American white oak barrels.

Jack Daniel’s, officially registered in 1866, is the oldest registered distillery in the U.S. and operates as part of Brown-Forman Corporation. Its products are sold in more than 170 countries worldwide.

Old No. 7 is the cash cow for Jack Daniel’s — the affordable, low-proof whiskey for the masses — but in recent years, the brand has also been seriously delving into more exciting expressions geared toward whiskey enthusiasts. These offerings range from the affordable Bottled-In-Bond series to the excellent Single Barrel Barrel Proof releases to the age-stated 10-, 12- and 14-year-old whiskeys to the Single Barrel Special Release series, including the wonderful recently released Tanyard Hill Rye Whiskey.
