This is batch 7 of Wyoming Whiskey's Outryder, a high-rye American whiskey. The 2024 release of Outryder is a blend of a high-rye bourbon and a whiskey distilled from a mashbill with 51% rye. According to the brand, the blend is composed of 2.5 bourbon barrels for every rye barrel.

  • Nose:

    Rye spice punches forth with cinnamon rolls, clove and fresh peppers, plus some brioche, orange marmalade, demerara, a touch of eggy custard and cola.

  • Taste:

    Medium mouthfeel and a full-bodied palate. Vanilla custard mingles with cinnamon, a hefty helping of clove, tobacco, orange zest, anise, pepper, nutmeg, chocolate shavings and espresso.

  • Finish:

    Browned butter melts on your palate, along with oak, custard, black cherry, raspberry jelly and tobacco.

  • Overall:

    Rich, spicy, full and balanced. This edition of Outryder is very well crafted. Excellent Stuff, WW.
