  • What Fortitude does, it does well, with light sweetness and a rare amount of rye grain influence in a bourbon.

  • Nose:

Light, sweet nose. Candy corn, light oak, tiramisu, cinnamon, powdered sugar, corn flakes.

  • Taste:

Medium mouthfeel. Oak, caramel, cherries, a big pop of orange, frosting and cappuccino. Rye is fairly prominent here.

  • Finish:

Medium finish. The rye continues. Pepper, clove, powdered sugar, orange, cherry, oak and char.

  • Overall:

A solid start for Templeton’s own distillate. It’s light and fairly balanced with a big pop of citrus. Some good potential here for sure.
