Talisker Magma is a single malt Scotch whisky from Talisker Distillery on the Isle of Skye, distilled in 1978 and released in 2026. It was initially matured in refill American oak hogsheads before being finished for four months in new American oak casks toasted using heated volcanic basalt stones from Skye. The whisky is bottled at cask strength at 48.8% ABV with no chill filtration or added coloring and is limited to 622 bottles worldwide, with a suggested retail price of approximately $5,250.

  • The palate flips the order of things — smoke first, then fruit — but otherwise feels like it’s cut from the same cloth. After an initial rush of bonfire smoke fades, the fruit hits fast.
