This is an official bottling from Talisker in the Diageo Distiller's Edition series. Spending an extra year in a wine cask, this Talisker is released annually. Let's see how it is.
Delicious. Likely my favorite of recent Distiller's Editions from Diageo. I have yet to try the Clynelish DE, but of the ones I've had, this one shines the brightest year after year.

House Review
Nose:
Salted caramel, maritime air. Jammy berries, old tobacco and oak. Baking bread, pepper, burning campfire. Complex but refined.
Taste:
Honey, apples, blackberies, salt. Pepper, salted caramel. Salted pretzle. Then some cream, creme brulee and toffee.
Finish:
Long, great oak structure. The jamminess of the berries ties in well with the pepper, the pipe tobacco and the brine.
Overall:
Delicious. Likely my favorite of recent Distiller's Editions from Diageo. I have yet to try the Clynelish DE, but of the ones I've had, this one shines the brightest year after year.
