Sweetens Cove 5-Year Tennessee Bourbon is the flagship release from the celebrity-backed brand named for a golf course near Chattanooga. Aged five years and bottled at 46.85% ABV, it is produced from sourced Tennessee whiskey that was located in a Kentucky warehouse and returned to Tennessee, with blending by Marianne Eaves. A 750 ml bottle typically retails for around $45.
An appealing fruitiness translates as a fresh apple scent, but evolves into red fruit on the palate. An initial burst of cinnamon unfolds into a long vanilla and toasted almond fade.

House Review
Nose:
A very pleasant fruity nose full of bright berries. Raspberry, blueberry, Fuji apple, sweet cream, caramel.
Taste:
Thin to moderate mouthfeel. Banana bread, raspberries, clove, cinnamon, black pepper, rose petals, cereal grains.
Finish:
More banana on the finish, plus charcoal.
Overall:
This tastes like a pretty run-of-the-mill Tennessee whiskey, which is not a bad thing! Super easy drinking and quite flavorful. Where it lacks in complexity it makes up for with easy drinkability.
Score:
85
