Big nose, full of malt, barrel char, honey, cola and this lovely dark chocolate note. Sweet and pleasant, rich and enticing with quite a bit going on.
Rich honey and toffee, rich cherry cola and a sweet root beer character. Rich mouthfeel, great viscosity, bit of dark chocolate, pepper and espresso.
Long finish, decadent and layered with tons going on. The espresso, cherry and cola continue with a really unique finish that hangs great.
This is some pretty special stuff. I've long been a fan of Stranahan's releases and their limited expressions, so seeing a cask strength single barrel come out is exciting. Tasting it is even more so - this is a killer release and marks an exciting new chapter for Stranahans.
