  • There’s a lot of flavor in Signature but it’s not dramatic in complexity, nor is it really intended to be at this price level. I wouldn’t try to compare it to Cognac but put it up against American brandy, where the flavor profile is similar, and against which Signature acquits itself admirably.

  • Bold mocha, toffee and oak tones coat the palate, combining to suggest sweet, confectionary flavors such as vanilla cookie, pain au chocolat and Nutella. Hints of orange peel and violet freshen the exhale.

    Opens with a faint rubber note before giving way to dried apricot and dates. Compared with many Cognacs, the aroma is lighter in intensity, with notes of vanilla and caramel alongside a subtle mineral character.

    Dried fruit remains at the forefront, with notes of raisin, date, and a more floral dried apricot alongside vanilla. A subtle mineral quality persists, reminiscent of slate, while a light white pepper note adds a gentle touch of spice.

    A lingering white pepper note carries through the finish, leaving a gentle spice that invites another sip.
