Yoshi Matcha Liqueur is a US-produced matcha liqueur launched in January 2025. It combines approximately 5 grams of ceremonial-grade organic matcha from Uji, Japan, with a dairy-free oat milk base and neutral grain spirit, creating a shelf-stable, gluten-free, dairy-free liqueur. Bottled at 17% ABV, it typically retails for around $40.

An aromatic journey that evolves with time. It opens fruity and sweet, with notes of white grape and starfruit before transitioning into a cereal-like aroma reminiscent of oatmeal or porridge. As it settles, faint earthy green tea notes begin to emerge.
Thick and creamy, with pronounced nutty notes and plenty of oat character. A subtle sour-like acidity adds contrast, while the matcha remains present but is partially overshadowed by the dominant oat flavor. The sweetness is restrained, keeping the profile balanced. For the most part, it tastes very similar to an oat milk match latte.
Lightly tangy, with lingering notes of oatmeal that carry through the finish.
Yoshi Matcha Liqueur offers a pleasantly creamy texture and a balanced sweetness, though the oat milk takes center stage and softens the matcha more than expected. I would have liked the tea to be more prominent, but the liqueur remains enjoyable on its own. It also shows good potential as a cocktail ingredient, where additional tea-forward components could help bring the matcha character into sharper focus.
