  • Underlying notes of waxy fruit (no doubt from some sherry cask aging), clementine, pineapple, and black licorice emerge, followed by the brine kicking in again towards the finish. The most rambunctious of the three.

  • Lovely lovely lovely, perhaps just a notch less ‘blade-y and vertical’ as previous batches (circa 2015).

  • There's some more citrus - it all blends very nicely. Springbank 10 Is a great blend of character that makes for a perfect introduction to their catalogue.

  • Nose:

Smoke, honey, light citrus and some very faint rubber. Tiny bit of malt sweetness.

  • Taste:

Some smoke giving way to sweet honey. The smoke isn't overpowering and its not peaty. There's some more citrus - it all blends very nicely.

  • Finish:

Medium to long and very gentle. Lots of smoke, followed by honey sweetness and one last wisp of smoke.

  • Overall:

I'm very impressed. This has just the right blend of smokey to sweet. Big fan.
