Distilled for Alan Jackson, this 91pf Kentucky Straight bourbon makes no bones about its purpose. Alan Jackson likes whiskey, and he wanted a brand created for him, and here it is. It's released in "Charts" rather than batches, each named for a notable hit song of his. Let's dive on in!

  • Overall, this whiskey is just fine. It's always interesting when another celebrity whiskey joins the pack, but this release performs well compared to its peers. Smooth, easy drinking, and simple.

  • Nose:

Mild but inviting, full of sweet, rising bread, apples and pears. There isn't a ton going on, but it's pleasant and inviting.

  • Taste:

Young but not offensive. Proofed nicely, it has some pleasant body to it. Apples, cinnamon, clove and pears. This drinks like a soft, smooth, apple pie in a glass.

  • Finish:

The finish is easily this dram's greatest strength: it's longer than expected, and continues to present warm brown sugar, crisp apple and a touch of clove.
