Seven Seals Single Malt Whisky Peated Port Wood Finished is a Swiss single malt produced by Seven Seals Innovation AG using the patented Stockhausen Method, a chemical-free accelerated maturation process. Made from 100% malted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills, it is matured in American white oak barrels before being finished with port wood chips. Bottled at 46% ABV, it typically retails for around $80.
Mouth-coating and a little sour, with Austrian smoked cheese dominating. The dark fruits fight with blackberries, strawberries and damsons, which mingle nicely with the smoke.
