Pendleton Whisky, a brand of blended Canadian whisky, is produced and distilled in Canada, but bottled by Hood River Distillers in Oregon. Crafted to honor the bold spirit of the American frontiersman, it is named after the Pendleton Round-Up, an annual rodeo event held in Pendleton, Oregon, since 1910. This product is non-age-stated but is roughly six years old, a Pendleton representative shared with us.

  • Thin and a bit young tasting, but not awful. It's fine.

  • Simple and sweet, practically pining for a bubbly mixer, but not bad for dessert, either. Quite typical of the category.

  • Nose:

Very subtle and gentle. Honey, waffle cone, vanilla, saltwater taffy.

  • Taste:

Thin mouthfeel with notes of strawberry candies, vanilla, cinnamon and banana, plus a touch of youthful ethanol.

  • Finish:

Ethanol carries onto the finish, which is quick but also features cocoa powder and almonds.

  • Overall:

Thin and a bit young tasting, but not awful. It's fine.
