Old Charter 7 Years Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey that originated as a vintage expression during the Schenley Distillers era and was distilled at the historic Bernheim Distillery in Louisville. The brand dates to 1874 and is now owned by the Sazerac Company, with production at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. It is made using Buffalo Trace Mash Bill No. 1, the same mash bill used for Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare and George T. Stagg bourbons, and was historically bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV).
