House Review
Nose:
Sweet cocoa. Pralines, honey, toffee. Black cherry, currant, lingonberry. Jammy and loaded with dark chocolate sherry notes.
Taste:
Medium mouth feel. Heat is well restrained. Cocoa, honey, cherry cordial and stewed fruits. There’s some tannin here to lend structure, and its well integrated. Not too bitter.
Finish:
Long finish, faint cough syrup note in the sherry, but it’s not too out there. Sweet cream, dark chocolate and syrupy cherry cordial candies.
Overall:
Mannochmore always has such a fun take on sherry, but I’m into it - as weird as it may be.
