  • An exceptional release from Maker’s Mark and Kelsey Plum. This is damn tasty bourbon, and an excellent example of how exceptional Maker’s can be with the use of its finishing staves.

  • Nose:

Lovely nose filled with cocoa powder, cinnamon, vanilla bean.

  • Taste:

Wonderful, thick viscosity. Big vanilla and caramel character dances with light oak, orange peel, raisins and tiramisu.

  • Finish:

The finish opens with buttercream frosting and oak, which segues into banana bread, cherries and espresso and cinnamon.

  • Overall:

An exceptional release from Maker’s Mark and Kelsey Plum. This is damn tasty bourbon, and an excellent example of how exceptional Maker’s can be with the use of its finishing staves. I went into this expecting a good, standard batch of Maker’s Mark Cask Strength. What I got is something truly elevated and totally delicious.
