Lost Lantern Triple Eight Peated Massachusetts Single Malt Whiskey is the first peated whiskey from Triple Eight Distillery on Nantucket. It is made with 100% malted barley smoked with peat from the Scottish Highlands and aged for 6 years in an ex-bourbon barrel. This single cask release represents an American single malt made in the Islay style.
If you’re Islay curious this is a great entry point. It is not a true Scotch Islay, but I trust you know that going in, this is an U.S. Single Malt made in the Islay style. It’s different in a good way, and similar in a familiar way. Worth a pick-up if you enjoy what Triple Eight is up to!
