Kilkerran Heavily Peated is a cask-strength single malt Scotch whisky produced at Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland, under the Kilkerran brand name. Released in limited batches twice a year as part of the distillery's Peat in Progress series, it is made from barley peated to approximately 45 PPM and matured primarily in ex-bourbon casks with a portion of ex-sherry casks. Bottled between approximately 57% and 61% ABV, depending on the batch, it typically retails for $85 to $105.

  • Sweetness pokes through with toffee apples, whilst tartness tempers from lemon, grapefruits and gooseberries. The smoke is quite pervasive – kippers and hearth embers.
