  • Delicious, powerful release. It’s big, bruising, flavorful and fantastic. Splendid stuff.

  • Nose:

Powerful, thick nose. Big blackberry note, plus crème brûlée, clove, banana, chocolate covered cherry, charred oak and tobacco.

  • Taste:

Some heat on the palate, which is mouth-coating and drying, with tannin aplenty. The flavor profile, though, is really quite well balanced. A big butterscotch note meets plenty of blackberry as well as a caramel apple note that's really, really delicious, plus cinnamon, cocoa powder, candied almonds and Smarties.

  • Finish:

Some heat on the finish, plus cinnamon, brown sugar, banana bread, vanilla pudding and barrel char.

  • Overall:

A delicious and powerful whiskey. It’s big, bruising, flavorful and fantastic. It's about even for me with the 12 Year Old in terms of my favorites of this 2026 trio; the 12 is a bit softer and more approachable, but the 14 has a mouthfeel advantage. They're both delicious, and the 10-year isn't far behind.
