Jack Daniel's 12 Year Old Batch 4 is produced at the Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee. It uses a mash bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye, and undergoes charcoal mellowing through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal as part of the Lincoln County Process before aging.
The whiskey is matured in new American white oak barrels and bottled at 53.5% ABV. It typically retails for around $100.

Fantastic nose, opens with a mix of crème brûlée, maple cream, browned butter, peanut brittle and a dusting of cocoa powder. Underneath lies some cola, fresh raspberries and blueberries, gingerbread and cinnamon.
Nice viscosity on the palate. A wealth of rich desserty notes here. Huge maple syrup vibe is surrounded by cloves, cherry syrup, blackberries, tobacco, leather, peanut brittle, caramel, cocoa powder, almond, nutmeg and a vaguely chalky note.
The finish opens with soft oak, malted milk balls, blackberry and leather. A sharp bite of tannin leaps forward next, joined by espresso, cinnamon and nutmeg. Fresh-baked banana bread lingers long.
Awesome color on this, and the whiskey more than lives up to it. It’s surprisingly bright, decadent and sweet. Perfect amount of oak on the palate — maybe a touch tannic on the finish, but not aggressively so. Tremendous batch — probably my favorite since the very first 12 Year Old release.
